4 Month Check-up

Olivia had her 4 month check-up last night. She now weighs 13 lbs. 3 oz. and is 25 inches long! She is growing so fast. It wasn't so fun at the doctor's appointment at the end because she got 4 vaccines - one was oral and must not taste good at all and the other three were shots in the upper leg! Poor baby! Terry watched and got her dressed after all of that and I left the room and got her 6 month appointment scheduled. Mommy doesn't handle the shots very well. All is well though and all three girls have stayed pretty healthy so far this winter.

Thanks Grandma Cheryll!!

This past weekend, Madison stayed overnight with Grandma Cheryll. I forgot her pjs in the rush out the door, so Grandma took her shopping and found new ones. I had to head over to Jesup today and so I stopped by my mom's really quickly and she got Laci the same ones. They had to wear them tonight and said they were just like twins. THANKS Grandma! Also, Happy Birthday Grandma - We Love You So Much!

Hat Day

Friday was hat day at Laci's preschool! Here is a picture of her as we are getting ready to head out the door. The morning routine can be a bit hectic sometimes, but the girls are pretty cooperative most days! On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I take Laci and Olivia to daycare and then Madison gets dropped off at school. On Tuesday and Friday, I take Olivia to daycare and then Madison and Laci both get dropped out at their schools.

Some New Photos

It has been awhile since I posted. I finally downloaded some of the last pictures I had taken to our computer, so thought I would post some. The girls got roller skates from Santa for Christmas. They are in the basement roller skating (on carpet). It should be interesting to see how they skate on smooth flooring.
When Jeremy, Amy, and Camden Weber were home around Thanksgiving, we got to see them. They brought this cute outfit for Olivia and she wore it the day after Christmas for the first time. Here she is sleeping on my mom's lap that day. I also had Olivia's 3 month pictures taken in this outfit and she wears it a lot because it is so cute and I know it won't fit her before too long!
The first Saturday in January, we had our final Christmas celebration with my mom and her husband's family. They had it this year at their church, so we had more space than in their house. This is a picture of my sister and her daughter, Kendall, that day!
Another picture that day of my brother, his fiance Cyndi, and Madison and Laci.
I took this picture also and it would have been cute if my husband didn't have such a cheesy grin!Final picture from that day of my sister holding Olivia!
You would think I could blog more since last week I didn't have school on Wednesday or Thursday. Last week, the winter weather was not kind to us. We had school until 11 a.m. Monday, a 2 hour delay Tuesday, no school Wednesday due to 7+ inches of snow, no school Thursday due to the frigid temps, and another 2 hour delay Friday. So far we have 5 snow days to make-up! Madison asks quite frequently if she can go outside and play, but it has been so cold or so windy lately that I keep saying no. I am hoping that she can during school at recess this week (maybe this weekend also). Laci missed preschool last Friday because of our school's 2 hour delay. So I am hopeful that the weather starts to get better as we approach closer to spring to keep things more scheduled for them. Olivia is cooing more and more and is such a good sleeper! She will be 4 months old next week already!

Snow Day #3

So today was supposed to be the first day back after Christmas vacation, but I am home with my girls. Last night, I got a call that school would be 2 hours late. So I got to sleep in a little. Then as I am almost ready for work and getting the girls up to eat, I get a phone call that there is no school. This past weekend we got ice, so the country gravel roads are a sheet of ice (much like my driveway and our street here in town). It isn't warming up to melt any of the ice, so not sure what tomorrow will bring! Guess it will also give me a chance to get caught up on some of the school work I brought home after going over to school yesterday!

Happy New Year 2009!!!

Where does the time go? I think I am doing so good keeping up on my blog and then weeks have gone by! I will have to post some new pictures soon also, but wanted to put a quick post up. We spent Christmas morning home with our girls getting gifts from Santa and us. Then we quickly loaded up the van and headed to Terry's family's Christmas for the rest of the day. We went to the hall for his grandparents' Christmas and then after that we go to his parents to celebrate! Whew - a whirlwind day!

The day after Christmas, my mom, sister, and brother and their families came to our place. We ate a wonderful meal and then the kids got gifts. We also gave gifts to my mom and her husband. It is really more about getting together for us and watching the little ones enjoy gifts!

We had the weekend following Christmas to relax some and then Tuesday we had a trip to Iowa City. Madison had to go see the pediatric gastroentrologist down there - no more medicine, so we will see how it goes! Then we took Laci and Madi to Build a Bear. They made monkeys and loved it. We will have to take Olivia when she gets older!

Yesterday we had Christmas with my mom's husband's family. We ate and the kids opened gifts again. We headed home between 3:30-4:00 p.m. because it was starting to sleet and freeze rain. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Today I am going to have to head over to school for awhile to get myself ready to go back to work tomorrow. Hoping the 2nd semester breezes by so I can enjoy the summer with my girls!

Wishing you all a great 2009!
