7 Months Old!

Olivia Rae is 7 months old today. She is doing lots of new things lately. She has been getting up on her hands and knees lately and rocks back and forth. She will inch forward a little if she wants to get something that is just out of reach. She is also sitting up for quite awhile on her own. She just gently falls over most of the time to her back or belly and then sometimes she can get back to sitting if she tries hard enough. She is liking eating fruits and veggies and anything soft enough more and more. I also think she is finally getting the whole spoon thing figured out. Two teeth and counting - she has the two bottom ones right in the middle and she is crabby most nights for bed lately. Thanks to baby orajel, we can settle her and get her to sleep. Happy all of the time unless hungry and sleepy and I am so thankful for that!

Spring Program

So lately I feel like this Spring is going to fly by. Almost every day on the calendar has something planned. Madison started soccer this past week with practice Tuesday and a game Thursday. Not sure she will stay with it, but we are trying it with parks and recreation in town. I will have to get some pictures of that posted after her next game.

Here are some pictures from Easter and this past week. Madison and Laci at my mom's on Easter Sunday. Laci's babysitter asked if she wanted this dress that the babysitter's daughter had made. It was made with material left over from making a prom dress. Laci thought she was big stuff. Madison had to find a nice dress then also. They are both really into dresses lately!
Here are all three girls with their dad on Easter at my mom's. I needed a new picture for a frame in my living room that says "Dad".
Olivia on Easter Sunday. She just had her 6 month pictures taken in this dress too!
The Easter Bunny brough swimsuits for all three girls. Laci wore hers around the house most of the day Monday since I was home with her. Look at her little leg pose!
After Madison got home from school Monday, she had to put her swimsuit on also.
Here is Olivia in her swimsuit! Can't wait until she can wear it this summer and splash in the baby pool!
It even has ruffle butts!
Today was Laci's Spring Program for school. I know this picture is kind of dark! There is a girl in the front with a dress and big head band to match and right behind her is Laci. Wasn't sure if Laci was going to go sing at first because when the teachers asked her to come with them, she didn't want to. One of her teachers picked her up and then she was fine. She didn't sing to all the songs or do all the actions, but she did pretty well. I am sure next time will be even better.

Snug As A Bug In A Rug

Well, it is Easter weekend and it is shaping up to be a pretty nice weekend so far!

Good Friday meant no school for Mommy or the girls. Terry also had the day off. We spent the day going to get Olivia's pictures taken in Jesup for 6 month pictures. She did well until the very end when she fell forward and bonked her nose or upper lip. She is no worse for the wear now! We also shopped and got grocery-type items for home. After that, we picked up my niece, Kendall, and took her home with us. Cathy came up to our place after getting off work. Fun evening!

Since it was warmer Friday, we turned off the furnace. This morning it was a little chilly in the house. Here are Madison and Laci after breakfast. I tucked their blankets around them and helped them stay warm. Madison's blanket was a Christmas present this past Christmas. High School Musical cast members galore!
Laci's blanket is fairly new. I recently put it together for her - pink on one side and rainbow pastel on the other.
Olivia after getting home Friday - worn out from pictures and fell asleep in the swing. She loves having her blanket to snuggle her head to!
This picture is from the weekend of Laci and Kendall's birthday. This was at Kendall's party that Sunday. Laci, Kendall, and Madison waiting to eat some cake!
This was Olivia the day of Kendall's party also. She was asleep in her seat after church and when she woke up was happy. She has also discovered her tongue lately - loves to stick it out and make spitting noises too!
All three are tucked in bed now waiting for the Easter Bunny! Church is sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. I think I will be attending by my lonesome this year - when the girls are a little older they will enjoy it more. Right now it will be too early and a very long day if they are up around 6:00 a.m. We will be going to Terry's parents for dinner at noon and then heading over to my mom and Rich's after. I took Monday off to relax at home! Terry will be back to work and Madison will be at school. Laci and Olivia will keep me busy enough I am sure!
Everyone enjoy your Easter - He is Risen!

6th Months Already

Where does the time go? Olivia was 6 months old on March 27th. We took her to the doctor on Thursday, April 2nd for her 6 month check-up. She weighs 16 lbs. 13 oz. and was 27 inches long. I am going to recheck her length myself at home because I don't know if that was right.

It was a late doctor's appointment at 7 p.m. because Laci had to go for her 4 year check-up also. We didn't actually get called back to a room until around 7:30 p.m. Then the doctor had a student with her. I figured when the nurse mentioned that that they would come in together, but the student came in first and asked almost every question imaginable. Then the doctor came in also.

Laci got 4 shots because it was either now or next year at 5 and so I just decided she might as well have them since Olivia was getting 3 also. Olivia cried, but Laci was so big and didn't cry at all. We got out of there around 8:15 p.m. (almost a full hour after the girls would have been in bed at home). We promised Laci a shake from McDonald's if she was a big girl for shots, so we got that and home we went. We got home and all the girls went to bed.

Olivia hasn't been crabby, but I have given her Tylenol a few times. I guess yesterday after preschool, Laci cried from the preschool to daycare that her legs were sore. They gave her some Tylenol at their house and then she was fine.
